The Program
The studio accepts enthusiastic students ages 7 - adult. Every student is different and the teacher is happy to teach a student the music that most appeals to them without neglecting those aspects that build and improve ability: Technical studies such as scales, etudes, vibrato, rhythm, positions. The aim is to learn to play beautifully. The music one chooses to do that with is secondary.
Performance Opportunities
The studio provides both informal and formal opportunities for students to perform.
Informal: At the end of the 8 week Session, students perform what they have learned for me and their parents. They can also perform for the students and parents who’s lesson is just before or after theirs.
Formal: A couple of times a year several students will perform for each other, their families and friends, here at the studio. There is room for 26 people.
Ensembles: For the more advanced and mature students there are ensembles for duets, trios, or quartets. The groups will consist of between three to six students per time. When the music has been learned we schedule a performance for it.
